The Info Station began in June 1997 – when founder Philip Wynn opened his first part-time computer business offering PC Repair and in-house training to individuals wishing to learn more about their PCs. What started as a part-time job quickly grew into something much more.
By 1999, “Phil’s Computers,” as the company was then called had a steady following in the local home market. While Mr. Wynn still focused primarily on in-home training, he was beginning to win some of the community businesses as well.
In May 2003, Mr. Wynn decided to take the company to the next level. One month later, the company unveiled both its new identity and whole new line of services – not only for the local community but also the Southeast and beyond. These new services included: Service contracts for businesses needing regular IT assistance and valuable preventative maintenance; CTO functionality for company guidance; Remote Assistance to minimize down time; Off-site Data Backup for safe storage of mission critical files; network design and implementation; and of course, PC repair and training as always.
Now the company has grown to much more than a part-time computer business. the Info Station now actively serves clients all over the Florida Panhandle and the Tri-state region. Employees of the Info Station will frequently travel from the business home base in Marianna, FL to other cities including Tallahassee, Pensacola, Panama City, Dothan, Mobile and anywhere in between. However, the Info Station does not limit its services to the local region. When asked about range, owner Philip Wynn said, “When customers ask how far we will go, the response is always the same: ‘Have suitcase will travel…’”
Although it has grown, the Info Station still remains true to its founding principles of timely service, a job well-done, and the belief that a business grows one satisfied customer at a time. Along with these core values, the Info Station is also committed to:
